The Grand Domaine is the reunion of the resorts of Valmorel, Doucy-combelouvière, Cellier and Saint-François Longchamp.
Thanks to its special location, close to Le Col de la Madeleine and protected by the Massif de la Lauzieres, Valmorel benefits from an exceptionnal amount of snow all along the winter: about 15% higher than any resort at the same altitude.
Its northern exposure also contributes to keep a great level of snow.
